Planning Blog: Location, Participants, Health, and Schedule

Image
Location: At a park or common area. Our first filming location would most likely be North Andrews Park. It has the scenery features that we are looking for, plus it 's not a busy area. Participants: The people participating in this project are myself (Corvelest), Cailey, Chelsey, and David. Although we have not discussed our specific roles, we agreed that me, Cailey, and Chelsey would be the protagonists and David would be the antagonists. All of us are some what main characters. Schedule: After discussing our schedules, we concluded that the week of spring break would be the best time to start feeling. The fact that we have the whole week to ourselves and no one is doing anything major. We also, decided that it would be a good idea to start filming during the day, but also have a darker scene.

Planning Blog: Title Design

The opening credits of my film will appear in a bold font that appears to be typed in different places around the screen. The size of the text will be pretty big so the audience can clearly see the credits. The color will be white with a black shadow/outline to give a little edge. Some credits, will appear to be embedded into the actual setting. For example, on the walls, on the objects in the scene, and buildings/houses. Working Title: The title of the film is most likely to be "R3VENGE" The working title will be bold faced with all caps: LIKE THIS . Also, the 3 will be 1-2 lager than the font and will be red: LIKE THIS The titles will be faded into the screen and and disappear with a fade out. The titles will disappear after 2-3 sentences. Some of the titles may have different sizes. Like 2 sizes larger than the normal. The titles are the Name o the Studio, Name of Production Company, Produced/Executive Producer, and Directed By. These titles will also be bold faced. Video

Title Research: Parasite

Image
The opening sequence of this movie is from Parasite and I found it on artofthetitle.com In the movie Parasite, you have the production company, name of the actors, and other the other main people who participated in the production of the movie. The images that are prioritized in the opening scene are the view of dirty windows with dirty socks hanging. The camera then moves down to one of the main characters as he is trying to connect to the Wi-Fi. These images don't really have any connotations The film establishes a feeling of thriller from the outset by using the dirty window, whixh can make the audience feel uneasy since their view is limited... like how most thriller films use forests. While looking at this title sequence, to me.... no strategies were used to hit their target audience Technology has been effectively used throughout this title sequence by using a tilt, insert, medium close up, tracking shot, two shot, a pan, and a wide shot.

Title Research: Watch the Titles Website

Image
While researching titles sequences, another website came across. This website was called watchthetitles.com. On the main page of this website, it shows artists, a summarization of their works, and background info on them. Like the other website, it shows range of titles from different genres. Including some from tv shows, films, video games, and student projects. Even designers and studios. This website includes some of the same designers and studios from artofthetitle.com. Creative directors and designers that specialize in title sequences made the section list "Title Sequences". Something that I learned is that title sequences are creative and unique. Also, title sequences can be made from different locations, like studios to homes of the artists.

Title Research: Art of the Titles Website

While researching titles, the website, artofthetitles.com came up on my search. This website has a wide range of title sequences from 1920 to 2023. This website shows range to titles from different genres and the artists who are behind them. An example of this would be the opening title sequence for the Guardians of the Galaxy and the artists who are behind it in a list. The website also a long list of designers, like Aaron Becker, Henry Chang, Jared Hess, Nathanial Park, Oscar Wright, and more. Also, featured Michael DeForge, who is a visual artist and comics creator who has won numerous Ignatz and Doug Wright Awards and is based in Toronto, Ontario. While looking through the different title sequences with my group, we noticed a pattern. This pattern was that every title had vivid color and images. Each title sequence had different shapes, colors, drawing, and animations. All these things were placed in different way/directions.

Comedy  is a genre of fiction that consists of discourses or works intended to be humorous or amusing by including laughter, especially in theater, film, stand-up comedy, television, radio, books, or any other entertainment medium.  This genre  incorporates  high/low angles, and persistent close up shots which creates a closer relationship of the character to the audience. Many times in comedy, actors costumes may look exaggerated for comedic purposes. Fast-paced scene transitioning and goofy sounds may be  added  to  further  the comedic effect. Our Pitch

Image
Pitch 1: A group of 3 friends, accidently run over their friend and take him to the hospital. While recovering, he plans to kill his friends for almost killing him. Pitch 2: In search for a prized gem, two bad guys come across a girl and plan to trade the gem for money. However, a 15 year old boy messes up their plan and save the girl. Pitch 1: We can make this film because I can drive. Also, we already planned some of the scenes out already. Making this film would be interesting and a learning process. The only reason we couldn't make the film would be trying to find the right settings. For example, copying a hospital would be hard, since you have the heart monitor and other stuff. Pitch 2: We can make this film, filming and acting wise. However, including some fighting scene would be kind of tough. Making this film would be interesting and a learning process. The only reason why we couldn't make this film would probably be the fighting scenes and the right settings. For exam

Group Blog: The Same Crew

For this task, I choose the same two people from the last two tasks. Plus, my friend Cailey. These people are David and Chelsey. David is in the AS level of this class and so is Chelsey. They're both in sophomore year, same as me. David has Mr. Katz, while me and Chelsey have Ms. Marchionne. I'm working with David again. In the first task I mainly choose him because he was next to me in class, and one of the few people I know the class. Also, because he was in my biology class last year. In biology, me and David sat close to each other so we worked together sometimes. In the second task , I chose him because I didn't want to change partners, same for this task. This year I only have 1 class with him. I don't really know much about Chelsey still. However, we do say hi to each other whenever we come across. Also, I think since I didn't know her last year that might be a leading cause as to why our friendship isn't like me and David's. Plus, this my class with

Hello again, I am Corvelest. I'm in the 10th grade and about to be finished with school in 4 months. Sometimes I like go by nickname Corey, I mainly tell people my nickname instead of my real name if they're having a hard time saying or pronouncing it.  I like to play video games, but only on the weekends since by console is at my dad's house. However, since I have games on my phone, I play those instead on a normal school week at home/during free time. I like to draw whenever I can, which is very little, but I've been trying to fix that lately. I have been in visual art classes in middle school and had painting 1 last year with Mr. Fitz, so my knowledge in art is heavy. I also like to make edits of tv shows/movies with adobe after effects and usually post it on this app called TikTok. I have a whole another account dedicated to these edits. Additionally, I make video content for YouTube with adobe premiere pro. With this, I have heavy knowledge on editing, since it'
