Movie Convention Research: Halloween (2018)

  • The elements of Thriller that the movie "Halloween (2018)" has that I chose to base my final task on is close ups, eye level shot, medium long shot, low angle, high angle, extreme close ups, tilts, wide shots, over the shoulder, zoom in, dutch angle/shots, and establishing shots, tracking shots, two and three shots, and action matching. With Mis-En-Scene, this movie used costumes, acting, makeup, lighting, setting, and props. This movie also included, shot reverse shots, inserts, jump cuts, cross cutting, and cutaways. Lastly, dialogue, diegetic and non-diegetic sound, voice over, sound bridge, sound motifs, and ambient sound was used.
  • The elements of Thriller that the movie that I liked was suspense, anxiety, unexpected plot twists, jumpscares, and surprises. Also, the use of sound motifs whenever Michael Myers would appear or the ambient sounds that would play in the background.
  • For this movie there was some heavy gore that I couldn't somewhat take. Other gore scene weren't that bad and were easy to handle.

Production Blog: Editing My Videos

Once me and David finished filming on 12/10/22. We wanted to import the clips he took on his phone but we both agreed on waiting until Monday. We then imported the clips through email. David decided to give me half of the clips then the other half the next day. I eventually got all the clips and I started to import them into my editing program, which is Adobe Premiere Pro. I've been using Adobe Premiere Pro for about a year and a couple of months. Before I started editing my part of the music video, I organized everything by 5 different categories... videos, sound/music, green screen videos, sound effects, and photos. Planning Blog: Title Design

The opening credits of my film will appear in a bold font that appears to be typed in different places around the screen. The size of the text will be pretty big so the audience can clearly see the credits. The color will be white with a black shadow/outline to give a little edge. Some credits, will appear to be embedded into the actual setting. For example, on the walls, on the objects in the scene, and buildings/houses. Working Title: The title of the film is most likely to be "R3VENGE" The working title will be bold faced with all caps: LIKE THIS . Also, the 3 will be 1-2 lager than the font and will be red: LIKE THIS The titles will be faded into the screen and and disappear with a fade out. The titles will disappear after 2-3 sentences. Some of the titles may have different sizes. Like 2 sizes larger than the normal. The titles are the Name o the Studio, Name of Production Company, Produced/Executive Producer, and Directed By.
