Movie Conventions Research: Old

The elements of Thriller that the movie "Old" has that I chose to base my final task on is close ups, panning shots, long shot, low angle, high angle, two shots, over the shoulder, zoom in, dutch, and extreme close ups. With Mis-En-Scene, this movie used costumes, makeup, lighting, setting, and props. This movie also included, shot reverse shots, dissolves, jump cuts, cross cutting, and cutaways. Lastly, dialogue, diegetic and non-diegetic sound, and ambient sound was used. The elements of Thriller that the movie that I liked was suspense, anxiety, unexpected plot twists, jumpscares, and surprises. Also, the way the panning shots in this movie where captured is amazing For this movie there wasn't that much heavy gore... which is the element of Thriller that I don't like. Other than that, nothing else didn't appeal to me.

Intro Blog: Let Me Re-Introduce Myself

Hello again, I am Corvelest. I'm in the 10th grade and about to be finished with school in 4 months. Sometimes I like go by nickname Corey, I mainly tell people my nickname instead of my real name if they're having a hard time saying or pronouncing it.  I like to play video games, but only on the weekends since by console is at my dad's house. However, since I have games on my phone, I play those instead on a normal school week at home/during free time.
