Filming Blog: Couldn't Film Again

Image
Well, 3 days later (March 9th) and I wasn't able to film at all. My group has been talking about filming and different locations. We've been trying to find different areas rather than the famous Holiday Park, because we film there every time... well except for the music video. This time we have a new factor to take into consideration. This factor is Cailey, she is a new member for a task in my group. Cailey lives near Hollywood, so now I have to figure out a park that is between me, Chelsey, Cailey, and David. We also created a new group chat for her as well. We eventually started to talk about our availability or during the weekends. I told them, that weekend wouldn't work for me since I'm going on a school trip to travel around Europe's Mediterranean and some winter apparel I needed were at my grandparent's house on my dad's side. Especially because they live near Pembroke Pines, which is a good 30 minutes away from Fort Lauderdale. Now for the week, I was...

Filming Blog: Welp... Couldn't Film

Image
On March 6, my group talked about filming. I told them that I would most likely be able to start filming the scenes that include me only. Then my group agreed to film from that day until April 10th. This allows us to film for a little more than a month and to re-shot any scenes if we need to. When I went home I started to plan out my day to see if I was even able to film anything. I started doing homework and ate some food. I then decided it was best to film around around 5 or 6pm because the sun was still up but it wasn't as dark. Plus it could help towards my driving hours at night. However, there was two issues. The first issue is that my mom wasn't around and since I don't have driver's license, but a learner's permit. I have to drive with an adult in the passenger seat and usually my mom gets home around 7pm, but some nights she can come earlier. This leads up the second issue, my mom was at work with the car I wanted to use. My mom had a new but got a new one,...

Planning Blog: Location, Participants, Health, and Schedule

Image
Location: At a park or common area. Our first filming location would most likely be North Andrews Park. It has the scenery features that we are looking for, plus it 's not a busy area. Participants: The people participating in this project are myself (Corvelest), Cailey, Chelsey, and David. Although we have not discussed our specific roles, we agreed that me, Cailey, and Chelsey would be the protagonists and David would be the antagonists. All of us are some what main characters. Schedule: After discussing our schedules, we concluded that the week of spring break would be the best time to start feeling. The fact that we have the whole week to ourselves and no one is doing anything major. We also, decided that it would be a good idea to start filming during the day, but also have a darker scene.

Planning Blog: Title Design

The opening credits of my film will appear in a bold font that appears to be typed in different places around the screen. The size of the text will be pretty big so the audience can clearly see the credits. The color will be white with a black shadow/outline to give a little edge. Some credits, will appear to be embedded into the actual setting. For example, on the walls, on the objects in the scene, and buildings/houses. Working Title: The title of the film is most likely to be "R3VENGE" The working title will be bold faced with all caps: LIKE THIS . Also, the 3 will be 1-2 lager than the font and will be red: LIKE THIS The titles will be faded into the screen and and disappear with a fade out. The titles will disappear after 2-3 sentences. Some of the titles may have different sizes. Like 2 sizes larger than the normal. The titles are the Name o the Studio, Name of Production Company, Produced/Executive Producer, and Directed By. These titles will also be bold faced. Video ...

Title Research: Parasite

Image
The opening sequence of this movie is from Parasite and I found it on artofthetitle.com In the movie Parasite, you have the production company, name of the actors, and other the other main people who participated in the production of the movie. The images that are prioritized in the opening scene are the view of dirty windows with dirty socks hanging. The camera then moves down to one of the main characters as he is trying to connect to the Wi-Fi. These images don't really have any connotations The film establishes a feeling of thriller from the outset by using the dirty window, whixh can make the audience feel uneasy since their view is limited... like how most thriller films use forests. While looking at this title sequence, to me.... no strategies were used to hit their target audience Technology has been effectively used throughout this title sequence by using a tilt, insert, medium close up, tracking shot, two shot, a pan, and a wide shot.
