Research: How to make a short film

My takeaway from this video is that it serves as a practical guide that not only imparts information but also inspires creativity and innovation in the filmmaking process. Some information I gathered while watching this video was Guidance on how to work within budget constraints, optimize resources, and make the most of available equipment. Also, creating a compelling plot, developing interesting characters, and structuring the narrative effectively within the constraints of a short film... like the budget, how many people are on set, the setting you have, and filming equipment. Let theme guide your story figure out what your theme is and that's gonna dictate what comes next and how your characters act. Before you roll a single frame you need to understand your tone and lock into that completely every camera angle lens choice lighting choice your location wardrobe should all feed into that tone if you don't and your tone is jumping around where it shouldn't be it's going to ruin your film. Insights into the post-production process, including editing, color grading, and sound editing was another piece of information I gathered. I believe this video will help me with my shot film process by equipping me with the knowledge and skills needed to bring my creative vision to life in the form of a compelling short film.

Production Blog: Editing My Videos

Once me and David finished filming on 12/10/22. We wanted to import the clips he took on his phone but we both agreed on waiting until Monday. We then imported the clips through email. David decided to give me half of the clips then the other half the next day. I eventually got all the clips and I started to import them into my editing program, which is Adobe Premiere Pro. I've been using Adobe Premiere Pro for about a year and a couple of months. Before I started editing my part of the music video, I organized everything by 5 different categories... videos, sound/music, green screen videos, sound effects, and photos. Planning Blog: Title Design

The opening credits of my film will appear in a bold font that appears to be typed in different places around the screen. The size of the text will be pretty big so the audience can clearly see the credits. The color will be white with a black shadow/outline to give a little edge. Some credits, will appear to be embedded into the actual setting. For example, on the walls, on the objects in the scene, and buildings/houses. Working Title: The title of the film is most likely to be "R3VENGE" The working title will be bold faced with all caps: LIKE THIS . Also, the 3 will be 1-2 lager than the font and will be red: LIKE THIS The titles will be faded into the screen and and disappear with a fade out. The titles will disappear after 2-3 sentences. Some of the titles may have different sizes. Like 2 sizes larger than the normal. The titles are the Name o the Studio, Name of Production Company, Produced/Executive Producer, and Directed By.
