Filming Blog: My Part/The Beginning

After more than a week of not being able to film, because of my mom coming home after 6pm, the fall back/daylight saving times ended, having to much homework, and busy doing other things. I'm now finally able to film. This is mostly because I was planning on redoing my hair and I didn't want my hair to change midway throughout the film. Even though, in some scenes you wouldn't be able to see my hair. I just wanted to take precaution. After my hair appointment and spending time with my cousin, Friday came. I actually had some time on my hands to film myself in the afternoon, but first I had a long day ahead me. This was because I needed to get my passport for my Europe trip. This lasted from 6am to 2pm. I then started packing for my trip and doing any laundry that was necessary. When the time came around 6pm, I then decided that this was the perfect to start filming. So I filmed myself leaving the front door of my house and closing/locking the door. For some scenes my mom helped to film me. So I had to show her the storyboard and tell her what angles to shoot and how to shoot them. My mother then filmed me getting in the car, starting it, and driving off. We then filmed the inside version of this with an over the shoulder shot, which is one continuous shot. This included me getting in the car, starting it, and then driving off also. After driving off, my mom filmed me from the passenger seat and from my right side. I choose this angle to get a view of me, the steering wheel, a little bit of the backseat, the window on my left side, and a little bit of the front windshield. I then turned around at a roundabout and filmed the same thing until I got home, including a shot of the whole window, showing what was passing by as I was driving.
